Property insurers see improvements in Florida’s market for reinsurance

Florida property insurers are experiencing improvements in the reinsurance market with better prices and availability, as per reports by Aon and Gallagher Re. However, an anticipated active storm season has led to higher prices and less coverage availability. State lawmakers' additional reinsurance coverage in 2022 has contributed to market improvements. The Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund may provide up to $17 billion in coverage this year.
