Located just south of the Palm Beach County line, the City of Deerfield Beach is located at the Northeast corner of Broward County, Florida. It is located south of Boca Raton and north of Pompano Beach. Originally founded in 1890 as part of a settlement known as Hillsboro, the town changed its name to Deerfield Beach in 1939 because the locals wanted to attract beachgoer traffic as Southeast Florida had exploded in popularity as a vacation destination in the United States.
Deerfield Beach has grown into a wonderful suburban city to live in where the cost of living still remains affordable for most people. It features inland, Intracoastal, and beachfront neighborhoods, all of which have thriving real estate markets. Deerfield Beach is one of the principal cities of the greater Miami Metropolitan Region.
